How to Prepare for Outdoor Springtime Fun
Springtime is the time of year that just about everyone has an adventuresome spirit. After a long winter of being stuck indoors, even non-outdoors people will venture out for some springtime fun. Don't let the care free weather fool you, though. Planning for your outdoor excursion is a priority for everyone.

1
Layer your clothing. Springtime weather can be chilly in the morning and evenings, and downright hot in the middle of the day. Wear short sleeve shirts with a fleece or jacket over it that is easy to remove when the sun starts beating down.
-
2
Prepare for springtime showers. Wear or bring a rain jacket or umbrella along on springtime day trips. April showers or downpours can sneak up on you quickly, so make sure you keep your rain gear with you when out and about.

-
3
Schedule appropriate activities for springtime weather. People tend to get excited about warm weather, and forget that 60 degrees is not necessarily swimming weather. Try hiking or attending fairs and craft shows instead of rushing off to the beach.
-
4
Bring sun block and hats. Just because it isn't summertime doesn't mean that the sun's harmful rays can't affect you. Sun block and hats are necessary for outdoor activities all year round, especially for children.
-
5
Pack your camera. Even if you are just going to the park for a picnic or walking through the woods, a camera is essential.
-
6
Remember to bring a first aid kit that includes medication for insect bites. Also, include any allergy medications that you or your family may need.
-
7
Buy plenty of water bottles. Hiking or simply sitting and enjoying the sunny weather requires you to re-hydrate your body, so it is a good idea to drink water throughout the day.
