Mothers are some of the busiest people on the planet. They typically have children to take care of, households to run and full-time jobs to boot. The mom in your life deserves a break and an excellent way to give her one is to sign her up for a makeover.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the local spa to see what services they offer. You can usually find a makeover package that can cover all of the essentials: hair, makeup, nails and skin. Make sure to include a relaxing massage in the makeover package.

  2. Step 2

Buy her some new clothes. As part of her makeover, either purchase some new clothing for her to wear or give her a gift certificate to a fashionable retailer.

  3. Step 3

Set her up for an appointment with a personal shopper. A personal shopper can help update her style and introduce her to the newest trends in fashion.

  4. Step 4

Get a makeover for yourself as well. Your mom is more likely to enjoy her makeover if she has company. Set up the same appointments for you that you made for her.

  5. Step 5

Purchase a makeover book to inspire her. A favorite of many mothers is Hannah Keeley's "Total Mom Makeover." This book is a guide that tells you how to transform both your life and your looks.

Tips & Warnings
  • Many daytime TV shows hold mom makeover contests. Visit their websites to find out more about how to enter your mom into one of these contests.
  • Don't force a makeover on your mom if she resists it. She may be uncomfortable with the idea and may feel resentful if you push her.
