Once springtime rolls around, it is normal to want to get in shape for the warmer season. Heavy clothes are shed and it's the time to show more skin. Before the weather breaks, you may want to start thinking about a spring body makeover.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Join a gym. As part of your New Year's resolution, join a local gym. A gym membership is going to give you the push that you need to start working on your body.

  2. Step 2

Plan to spend three or more days a week working out. Mix up cardio and weight workouts to really get your body in shape for the spring. Sign up to work with a personal trainer at the gym or take a workout class.

  3. Step 3

Get rid of all the heavy foods leftover from the holidays. Holiday food can pack on the pounds and should be disposed of at the start of the New Year.

  4. Step 4

Eat lighter and healthier meals. Switch up the heavier winter meals for lighter fare. Keep ingredients for salads in your fridge as well as switch your carb options with vegetables.

  5. Step 5

Find clothes that flatter the figure. Another way to makeover your body for the spring is to update your wardrobe. Try on different styles that look good on you while hiding any body flaws.

Tips & Warnings
  • While working out, stick to exercises that target your problem areas. For example, if you want a flatter stomach for the spring, focus first on ab workouts.
  • Setting a goal for your body is an effective way to lose weight and get toned for the spring season.
