You don't need to travel to Milan or Paris or attend New York's Fashion Week to find spring fashion trends. Of course, you can if you have the means and the time to do so, but finding spring fashion trends can be as simple as perusing the magazine rack at the grocery store.

Things You'll Need:

  • Fashion magazines
  1. Step 1

Know when to look. The best time to look for spring fashion trends is in winter because the new spring lines arrive in stores around the month of March.

  2. Step 2

Buy a fashion magazine. Some of the best magazines to look for trendy spring fashions are Vogue and Elle for women and GQ and Esquire for men. Try Cosmo Girl! and Seventeen magazine for teen spring fashion trends.

  3. Step 3

Find the spring lines of your favorite designers online. Just about every well-known designer has a website and their spring lines are available for you to view and, in some cases, buy.

  4. Step 4

Visit the mall. Around March, the spring clothing lines will be on display. Browse through the stores and take note of the clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories that seem to stay within the same theme from store to store. For example, if all of the stores have tall boots or big handbags in bright colors, it is a trend.

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose one or two fashion trends to follow at a time. Wearing all of the fashion trends at once looks overdone. Wearing just one or two of the trendiest items, on the other hand, makes you look fashion forward.
  • Buy a couple of trendy spring fashions to accent your wardrobe. If you stick with classic clothing (think cashmere sweaters and classically cut black pants) and add a few trendy items to "punch up" your wardrobe, you won't be replacing your wardrobe every season.
  • Be sure to look for age appropriate spring fashion trends. What is trendy for a teenage girl is not the same as what is trendy for a 35-year-old woman.
