A great addition to your Easter rituals is to include making clothespin bunnies. Before you dye your eggs, sit down with your little ones and let them create their own long-lasting keepsakes. Use your imagination to personalize your bunnies and make them a favorite part of your Easter holiday.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Clothespins
  • Craft paint
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Craft foam or felt
  • Craft glue
  • Clothespins
  • Craft paint
  • Craft glue
  • Craft googly eyes
  • Cotton pom-poms

Whole Bunny Body

Step1
Paint the entire clothespin white and then paint the pronged section another color for pants. Leave the tips of the prongs white for the bunny's feet. Keep the round end white also for the head.
Step2
Make the vest for your Easter bunny when you paint the section between the prong and the round end a pastel color. Cut short lengths of a pipe cleaner and glue them to the sides of the clothespin for arms. Draw eyes, a nose and a mouth onto the round end of the clothespin to make your bunny's face.
Step3
Cut out a tiny bow tie-shaped piece of the craft foam or felt and glue it to the base of the round tip under the bunny's mouth. Cut out two ears and glue them to the top of the round end of the clothespin.

Bunny Heads

Step1
Brush a coat of paint over the entire clothespin. Use appropriate bunny colors, like white or light brown. Use the pronged end of the pin for ears and the round end for a face. Paint pink strips on the prongs for the inside of the ears.
Step2
Draw a face in the middle section of the clothespin, between the round and pronged ends. You can make a heart shaped nose with whiskers, eyes and a mouth, or you can glue on googly eyes and use a pom-pom for the nose.
Step3
Finish your clothespin Easter bunny when you add a cotton pom-pom to the back side of the pin. Glue it in place at the center of the round section of the clothespin and use it as the tail.
