If you're like most new moms, you want to quickly lose the baby weight you gained during pregnancy. We all look to TV celebrities and movie stars when it comes to the perfect body. If you're looking for a role model, try Jamie Pressly. The "My Name is Earl" star lost her baby weight in a relatively short period of time.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Set a goal to lose baby weight while you're still pregnant. Jamie Pressly, 29, said, "I want to lose the baby weight before my 30th birthday." Programming yourself months before the baby is born helps you focus on your weight loss goal.

  2. Step 2

Start a diet and exercise program as soon as you can after giving birth. Jamie Pressly was in the gym within two weeks after delivering her son; however, this might be too early for most women. Consult with your doctor about when to start exercising after delivering a baby.

  3. Step 3

Go on the cabbage soup detox diet for one week. Jamie Pressly praised this diet as the way she shed baby weight following the birth of her son. If necessary, go on the diet again, but don't exceed using this diet more than once every three months.

  4. Step 4

Follow a high-protein, low-carb diet. "It is definitely all about high protein and low carbs," Jamie Pressly has said. Also watch your fat intake and drink plenty of water.

  5. Step 5

Work out two hours a day, five days a week. If possible, hire a trainer as Jamie Pressly did to develop a program that's right for you. Jamie likes to incorporate kickboxing into her training.

Tips & Warnings
  • Start exercising no sooner than six weeks after giving birth.
  • Always consult a doctor before starting any exercise program.
