Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide early. The key to great accommodations that save you money is to plan your trip early. This includes your destination, your travel partner and the area you want to stay in your destination city.

  2. Step 2

Consider what you want in a Spring Break vacation hotel. Determine whether you want an in-house pool, events, restaurants or other amenities. Also think about what you want to have close by the hotel you choose - airport, beach, restaurants, or shopping. Think of these wants and needs and make a list to share with your travel agent.

  3. Step 3

Take recommendations. Ask others you know that have visited the destination you are planning to visit. Ask where they stayed and what they thought. Ask about the amenities that are important to you and inquire about the safety of the neighborhood around the hotel. If you don't want to feel like an outsider, find out where the other spring breakers are staying.

  4. Step 4

Call your travel agent early. Once you know the details of your trip, call your travel agent. If you do not have a regular travel agent, consider using one that specifically deals in student travel and vacations. These travel agents will have access to more information about student travel and popular spring break destinations.
