Cotton is one of the best fabrics used for pants. Males and females alike enjoy the smooth feel and crisp texture of cotton pants. Khakis have made their mark on men's wardrobes for years. However, women have totally immersed themselves in the fabric for pants only recently with the many styles available today.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check to see what fabric each pair of pants is made of. Even though they are made from 100 percent cotton, there are differences from one pair of pants to another. You need to know how well the fabric will hold up. Twill is the answer to this and feels great in female pants.

  2. Step 2

Try cotton corduroy pants. These will hold up nicely and give a very different look than twill, but they still give the comfort and feel of 100 percent cotton. The weave you get in a quality pair of cotton pants helps to determine their wear ability.

  3. Step 3

Go to the mall and see what your favorite stores have to offer. Go to those (anywhere) that you generally shop and see their selections. Female cotton pants are fashionable despite what type of business you are in.

  4. Step 4

Buy designer female cotton pants like those seen at the Bluefly website. These pants truly offer an air of sophistication.

  5. Step 5

Think about the old standby-khakis-made by Dickie's. These icons (formerly only worn by men) are great for business casual wear. Dockers is a popular brand of cotton pants that resemble khakis. Many people swear by the comfort and style given to their wardrobe by Dockers.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some thinner cotton pants will wrinkle quickly and are not appropriate for business wear.
