Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wait for the tickets to go on sale. Once the ALCS and NLCS are over, MLB will announce when the World Series tickets will be available. There will only be a very short window to buy.

  2. Step 2

Call immediately to see if you're one of the lucky ones. Keep in mind that season ticket holders for the playoff games will get first dibs.

  3. Step 3

Try to get tickets through an independent website.

  4. Step 4

Make your hotel reservation if you're going to be traveling to the game. Team websites often contain hotel information. Consider staying further away from the stadium if everything else is booked. Ask the front desk if they have any sort of shuttle service to the game.

  5. Step 5

Figure out your transportation. If the World Series is far from home, book your flight as soon as possible, or decide who's driving.

  6. Step 6

Compare flight prices by going to various travel websites. Often, last minute flights are very expensive, but you may stumble across last minute deals.

  7. Step 7

Plan to spend extra money. During the World Series, everything from parking to hotel rooms will be more expensive. Know that before you even get there,

Tips & Warnings
  • If necessary, try to buy a ticket to one of the contingency games. They may be easier to get.
  • When you call for tickets, have all your friends and family members call from their cell phones simultaneously. Someone's bound to get through.
  • Allow extra time to get to the World Series game. There will be tons of traffic.
  • You'll pay top dollar no matter where you buy your ticket, if you manage to get your hands on one.
