College students all over the country look forward to spring break with wild abandon. It's a chance to spend time with friends, travel to warmer climes and have a great time. Panama City Beach, Florida has become a top destination for many college kids. Plan a spring break in Panama City Beach, Florida with the following steps.

  1. Step 1

    Reserve a room early. With more than half a million spring breakers visiting Panama City Beach each year, the sooner one makes reservations, the better. Confirm reservations within a month and again the week before departure. Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort is a popular hotel, as is the Chateau Motel.

  2. Step 2

    Spend a fun-filled day at Shipwreck Island. Located just off the strip on Middle Beach Road. The cost for this water park is $29 per person there are rides for everyone, from the very high Tree Top Drop to the Silly Sub for kids. Coolers and food are not allowed, so be sure to budget in enough for food and drinks.

  3. Step 3

    Lay out and catch some rays at the public beach. It's located along Front Beach Road. Parking can be hard to come by, so try to get to there early. St. Andrews Sate Park also has lovely beaches. There is a small fee to enter the park.

  4. Step 4

    Party like a rock star at Club La Vela. Famous for being America's largest nightclub, there's always something going on there. Loaded with dance floors and themed rooms, La Vela is a must stop club for any spring breaker.

  5. Step 5

    Spend some time shopping at Alvin's Magic Mountain Mall. Built to look like a cave, Alvin's has beach clothing, kitschy souvenirs and even an alligator display. This makes a great place to stop should the day be rainy.
