How to Believe in Leprechauns

If you want to believe in leprechauns, it's really very simple. Follow the steps below and soon you'll be seeing wee small men dressed in green everywhere you go. Just don't let anyone know you believe, if you'd rather not be committed.

Instructions

1. Suspend all sense of reality. You might begin by believing in something smaller like elves or Tinkerbell before you tackle something as tricky as believing in leprechauns.

2. Take two shots of a quality Irish whiskey. Experts say that this helps suspend reality whenever there is a need to do so. After an entire bottle the leprechauns will seem so real, you'd swear you were hallucinating.

3. Practice talking in an Irish accent. After all, you want to make the leprechauns feel comfortable. Real leprechauns speak Gaelic, but perhaps a fairly decent Irish accent will do.

4. Consider your ability to believe in Leprechauns up to this point. If it isn't becoming stronger, repeat Step 2.

5. Locate a small pot filled with golden coins. This would most likely be a portion of the treasure left behind by ancient Danes, of which the leprechaun has become the self-appointed guardian. If you can locate this pot of gold, its leprechaun guardian is not far away.

6. Dress in green clothing and pointy felt shoes. This will not turn you into a real leprechaun but it may make the leprechauns in your area laugh aloud, thus allowing you to find them. Once you've found and conversed with one, it's hard to dispute their existence.

7. Repeat Step 2 again, for good measure. Anyone who seriously wants to be convinced of the existence of leprechauns deserves a hangover.
