Preschool is a fun age for children. At this point, they are developing their own little personalities and reaching out to kids their own age. Preschool is a good time to organize a sleepover party for your little one. With a little planning, the party will be a hit.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Talk to the parents of the preschoolers that you wish to invite. Preschool sleepovers should be handled directly through the parents since the children are so young. Give the parents plenty of notice.

  2. Step 2

Find out any dietary restrictions. Since it's a sleepover, you're probably going to serve food to the children. Ask the parents if there is any type of food that their child should not eat.

  3. Step 3

Keep it small. A large group of preschoolers may be more than you can handle. Limit the sleepover to five kids or less.

  4. Step 4

Plan games that preschool age children enjoy. Preschoolers like to be kept busy, so plan out plenty of activities. You can make it a game night and play games like Hungry, Hungry Hippos and Hi Ho Cherry O.

  5. Step 5

Make the bedtime early. You won't get on the parents good side if you let their child stay up into the wee hours. Eight o'clock is typically an acceptable preschool age bedtime.

  6. Step 6

Set a reasonable pick up time. You're likely to be worn out from your night with the kids. Tell the parents to be at your home to pick up the kids no later than 10 or 11 the next morning.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can do a preschool sleepover that is not a real sleepover. The kids dress up in pajamas and leave after the party in the evening.
  • Don't be surprised if some parents are not ready to let their little ones have a sleepover yet. Certain parents prefer the child to be school age before allowing sleepovers.
