The number of stay-at-home dads continues to rise in the United States. This group of men have fought for equality and respect in the same manner as women have in the workplace. The outlook continues to become more positive, and men form bonds with other men in the same situation. A new stay-at-home dad can find ample resources to make his job easier.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Join a community of like-minded individuals. The Internet has made the world a smaller place by allowing people with similar interests to connect with one another. Dads are no different. Sites like Slowlane.com offer connections to other dads and tips on how to make life great for kids and dads.
Step2
Stay in constant communication with mom. Dads tend to be the ultimate decision maker. With stay-at-home dads, moms sometimes get left by the wayside on decisions that have been made concerning the children. Make sure mom is consulted on everything related to the kids.
Step3
Make home fun. In most cases, fun comes standard with mom. She usually has had more experience in getting things done in a fun way around the house. Dad needs to make his own fun and invent ways to get household chores and homework done efficiently.
Step4
Evolve mentally and physically. Make sure that the brain and the body is stimulated. Go back to school and get back in the gym. Dads can also form reading or discussion groups with dads and moms without the kids to discuss world events or special interests. Dads need to make sure that they don't neglect themselves.
