How to Make Aluminum Foil Foot Warmers

Instructions

    • 1

Pick a few medium sized rocks, as smooth as possible, and place them in the center of your campfire before you light it. Enjoy your campfire as normal, until you are ready for bed. Allow your campfire to burn down until there are only coals left.

    • 2

Double a large piece of aluminum foil and use it to carefully pull a rock out from the bottom of your campfire. Wrap the rock tightly in the foil. You will need two or three individually wrapped rocks for each sleeping bag you would like to heat.

    • 3

Wrap two rocks in a towel, and place the towel at the foot of your sleeping bag. The aluminum foil will insulate the rocks enough that they do not damage your sleeping bag while warming your feet throughout the night.

    • 4

Remove the rocks from the foil the next morning, and place the rocks back into the campfire. Reuse the foil and towels each night for effective aluminum foil foot warmers.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always be very careful when removing rocks from the campfire. If necessary, use tongs or oven mits when wrapping the rocks in foil.

  • Warm your feet by wrapping your shoes and socks in aluminum foil and placing then near the campfire for a few minutes before putting them on.

  • Quickly dry wet socks by placing them in aluminum foil and setting them near the campfire. They will dry almost as fast as the warm your feet.
