Cats are wonderful animals and bring us great happiness and friendship. They do have their drawbacks and that is the smell that comes from their litter box. A way to rid that smell from your home is to make a minor change to the routine of changing the litter in the litter box. This will help your home to smell clean and pleasant.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Change the cat's litter on a regular basis. Every few days is a good schedule. This will keep the odors down and make your cat happier. They always like a clean litter box. Wash the litter box out thoroughly to remove any odors that may be there.
Step2
Dry the litter box and then spread a thin layer of baking soda on the bottom of the box. Mix about a half cup of baby powder with the new litter to be put back into the box and mix it thoroughly. Pour the prepared litter into the litter box and set it back in place for your cat.
Step3
Sprinkle a small amount of fresh baby powder in the box every day between changes. This will help dispel any odors that may accumulate between changes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Help the odors be less noticeable by placing the litter box in an out of the way location. The cat appreciates privacy and it minimizes the exposure of any of the smells from the rest of the home.
