How to Post on Daily Kos

If you're a regular reader of the left-leaning political blog Daily Kos, you may have a lot to say. Daily Kos lets readers participate in discussions by posting comments and even starting their own topics. Daily Kos makes it easy for readers to get involved.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Daily Kos account. Read the articles and diaries and find one on which you want to post a comment.

2. Comment on one of the main articles by clicking on the "Discuss" link at the end of the article. Then click "Post A Comment." A comment box will appear. Enter a subject and type your comment. When you're finished, hit the "Preview" button and view your comment. Make changes or click "OK" to post.

3. Post a comment on one of the diaries by clicking on "Post A Comment" at the end of the diary. Just like posting a comment on one of the main articles, a comment box will appear in which you can type your comment, preview and make changes. Click "OK" to post it.

4. Reply directly to comments left by other users. Click on the triangle next to a comment to view it, and then click on "Reply to This." Type your comment in the comment box, preview it, make changes and submit it by clicking "OK."

5. Write and post your own diary by clicking on the link "New Diary Entry" under the Tools menu. You can enter a subject, intro and body for your diary and add tags and a poll. Click on "Preview," make changes and click "OK" to post.

Tips & Warnings

• If you've just created your account on Daily Kos, you will have to wait 24 hours to post a comment and one week to post a diary. This is done to keep abuse of the blog at a minimum.
