  1. Step 1

Conduct a strong, organized draft. All fantasy leagues start with a league draft, either online or offline. Make sure the time is convenient for all the participants and that all the preparations have been completed prior to draft time. For instance, if the draft is offline make sure everyone knows the time it starts and approximately how long it will take.

  2. Step 2

Set and print all the league rules ahead of time. Make sure each member of the league understands the rules from the draft through the season and into the playoffs.

  3. Step 3

Determine if the league is going to be a fee-based league or not. Managing a soccer league takes time and energy, and some money can compensate you for the costs. In addition, it can make the league more competitive if there is a cash reward for the winner.

  4. Step 4

Invite only serious members to play in the league. Nothing kills a fantasy soccer league quicker than members who quickly lose interest. Having a group that will remain interested no matter how their teams are faring will make the league more entertaining for everyone involved.

  5. Step 5

Decide which type of system the fantasy soccer league will use. Some leagues are conducted online and others manually, using spreadsheets or software platforms. In addition, some leagues use what are keeper systems, which mean that members of the leagues may keep certain players to start the next year's fantasy soccer league.
