3. Spend the night at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin, a downtown Austin landmark. Opened in 1924, it is just one block from the statehouse and three blocks from Austin's downtown entertainment district. Facilities include an indoor, a heated lap pool, a 24-hour business center, and the Roaring Fork, a Western-style bistro and saloon.
4. Spread out at the Embassy Suites. The Austin Embassy Suites is just a short walk away from most downtown attractions. In addition, the hotel offers a more space for families or those on extended business trips. Each suite has a separate living area with a microwave and mini-refrigerator.
