It's time to clean up that filthy school locker. It can be a bit embarrassing when you open your school locker to have a pile of trash fall out and time consuming when you can't find what you need through all the clutter. The following will show you how you can clean your school locker out and stay organized.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Remove everything out of your locker in order to clean it properly. This will also enable you to organize everything once your locker is clean.

  2. Step 2

Use a little rubbing alcohol to remove old stickers or residue from images hanging on the inside of the locker door or the walls of the locker. If you can't use rubbing alcohol, scrape them off as best as you can.

  3. Step 3

Remove any items you have hanging in your locker that will get damaged with moisture. Wipe down the shelves and the inside of the walls and door with cleaning wipes.

  4. Step 4

Create 3 piles for the items that you've removed from your locker while you are waiting for it to dry: things you do need, things you may need and things you don't need.

  5. Step 5

Throw away all the items you don't need or take them home.

  6. Step 6

Put all the items you do need in a nice and neat, easily accessible stack inside the locker. Put all the things you may need or need occasionally in any leftover space.

  7. Step 7

Replace all your posters and pictures. Decorate your locker or add magnetic organizers to the inside of the door to keep everything in its place.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take a moment once a week to reorganize your locker and lightly clean it. In doing so, you will keep it nice with less time and effort.
  • Organize a locker cleanout day and recycle everything instead of throwing it out.
  • Put an air freshener or a fabric sheet in the locker to keep it smelling fresh.
