1
Make Little Miss Muffet's curds and whey. Bring the following ingredients to a boil: 12 cups fresh water, 6 cups instant dry milk powder, 1 to 1 and 1/2 cups white vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Let stand. Pour the mixture over a bowl with a paper towel on top. Now you have curds (the cheese part) and whey (the milky part). Enjoy!

2
Gather several versions of the Mother Goose Nursery rhymes and compare and contrast differences over the last 100 years. Books can be found at the library. Choose some of the children books that have been put to music to add flare.

3
Draw Mother Goose pictures. Borrow a few characters like Little Georgie Porgy and make his pudding and pie. Search through the books and pick your favorite character. Draw, paint or sculpt your interpretation of the story as well.
-
4
Invite a Mother Goose performer over and throw a Mother Goose party (see Resources). Contact the performer well in advance of May 1 since the holiday is celebrated throughout the United States.
-
5
Go to the Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon, California or have your own parade. Be ready for the parade though because the El Cajon parade is in November, the Sunday before Thanksgiving. To have your own parade, contact local elementary schools and get school bands to join in. Get a permit from your town or city. Invite the fire and police and Mother Goose. Mother Goose shall be the guest of honor, so pick a special public figure like your local librarian.
