Easter season in New York City is a magical time. The spring flowers are just starting to arise in Central Park after a long winter. The stores are stocked with colorful merchandise, and the weather is finally warm enough to be outside. In addition, the city offers an array of Easter activities.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Watch the annual Easter Parade. The centerpiece of New York City's Easter celebration is the annual Easter Parade. Throughout the day, from around 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, New Yorkers march up Fifth Avenue, from around 49th Street to around 57th Street, dressed in their finest Easter bonnets.

  2. Step 2

Have Easter dinner at Tavern on the Green. Easter dinner is a holiday tradition and no New York restaurant does it better than Tavern on the Green, in Central Park. The historic eatery serves up ham with all of the fixings, in a festive and elegant atmosphere.

  3. Step 3

Take the kids to the Eggstravaganza at Central Park. Easter isn't the same without an Easter egg hunt, especially if you have young children. Watch as the little ones race for eggs at the annual Eggstavaganza in New York's Central Park. Held the Saturday before Easter, the all-day event includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny, Easter crafts, a petting zoo and the egg hunt.

  4. Step 4

Shop for chocolate at La Maison du Chocolate. New York City is home to some of the best gourmet chocolate stores in the United States. Stop at this shop in Rockefeller Center for a tasty array of chocolate bunnies, Easter eggs and other holiday treats.
