5. Bring a friend. It's safest to hunt with a friend. Make each other aware if either of you see signs for grizzly bears. If you plan to hunt separately then have specific check in times. You will be safer by making each other accountable to the other.

6. Pack all necessary supplies to hunt with such as rifles, ammo and bear pepper spray. If you should get attacked by a grizzly bear then you can spray them with bear pepper spray at close range and this will usually stop the attack. If you try to injure the grizzly bear it may increase the intensity of the attack.
