Things You'll Need:
- Hammer or air compressor
- Pressure washer
-
Step 1
Use a hammer or air compressor to remove any pointing or render on your stone wall before beginning to wash it.
-
Step 2
Rent, borrow or buy a pressure washer that you can use to wash your stone wall.
-
Step 3
Turn on the power washer and stand a short distance away from the surface so you can get a feel of how the power washer works. Move closer to the wall so you can get a good wash.
-
Step 4
Start at the top of one section of the stone wall and, standing fairly close to the wall, begin washing the stone wall with the power washer. Use a continuous movement that moves across the length of the stone, slowly moving down toward the bottom of the stone wall.
-
Step 5
Stand back further and go over the section of the stone wall again to apply a lighter pressure washing to the stone wall. Start at the top, just like before, moving the spray of water down in waves.
-
Step 6
Go over any spots that don't appear to be clean by using strong circular motions to remove the debris.
-
Step 7
Move on to the next section of wall and continue in the same process, moving from one section to the next until the whole stone wall is clean.
