How to Write a Romantic Wedding Toast

Writing a romantic wedding toast is easy for some people and utterly painful for others. It depends on how good you are with words and if you can put feeling behind them. However, even a beginning writer can develop a toast with the right tools and research. Whether you're the groom, the bride, the parents or best man, there is always a way to write something romantic for a wedding.

1. Brainstorm ideas for your toast. Keep the romantic touches for later as you can place romantic words in your writing at any time. Think of how you want to structure the toast and what points you might want to include.

2. Ask yourself some questions. These might include how long you've known the bride and groom, what can be said to the new husband or wife that will make them smile, how did you meet the bride or groom and what is unique and special about their relationship.

3. Add in the romance. After you have the basics pulled together you can start inserting the romantic words. Use words such as unique love, lucky in love, beautiful, blessing, loving, caring, friendship and any other expression that comes to mind. Be sure it will sound passionate and sincere.

4. Think of what you would personally say to someone you love and keep formatting your draft. The more you put your heart into the words, the more romantic and full with love it will feel.

5. Choose the paper you want to write the toast on. Most likely the bride and groom will want a copy of the toasts said at their wedding. After you have finished the final draft, find some nice wedding stationery to write or print your words on. You can even put it in a frame for them to display in their new life together.
