How to Follow Up Another Member's eBay Feedback

By eHow Contributing Writer

If you buy or sell on eBay you are probably familiar with their feedback system. Both parties in every transaction have the opportunity to leave positive, neutral or negative feedback for their trading partner as well as an explanatory comment. There might be times when you leave feedback for another member and then something else happens that makes you feel the need to leave a follow up comment.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Log into your eBay account and go to your "My eBay" page.

  2. Step 2

Click on the feedback rating score next to your user ID. This is the quickest way to get to the feedback forum, but you can also get there by going through eBay's Help section.

  3. Step 3

Go up to the top of the page and click on the words "Feedback Forum."

  4. Step 4

Choose "Follow up to Feedback Left" in the column on the right side of the page. You will find it under the topic of "Feedback Tools."

  5. Step 5

Scroll down the page to locate the feedback that you want to follow up on. Then click "Follow Up" in the "Action" column to the right of your feedback comment.

  6. Step 6

Type in the follow up comment that you wish to add to the other member's feedback profile. Review your comment to make sure you have said what you want to and then click the button at the bottom of the page labeled "Leave Feedback Comment."

Tips & Warnings
  • You can only follow up to each feedback comment once.
  • Once a follow up comment is left, it becomes part of the other person's permanent profile. A follow up comment can not be changed or removed.
  • Adding a follow up comment to your trading partner's feedback profile does not change the original rating that you gave them. It also does not effect their feedback score in any way.
