Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Three sheet of paper that are eight inches square
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Cut the eight inch square piece of paper into four smaller, equally sized square pieces. To cut the squares equal, fold the bottom left corner of the square onto the top left corner of the square. Lay the paper on a flat surface, and crease the folded edge with your finger. Fold the top right corner to the top left corner. Fold the bottom right corner to the left bottom corner and crease.

  2. Step 2

Take one of the four small squares. Fold the bottom right corner to the top left corner. Crease and open. Fold the bottom left corner to the top right corner. Crease and then open it up. Fold the right side to the left side, making sure that the corners touch. Crease and open. Fold the bottom to the top, making sure that the corners meet. Crease and open.

  3. Step 3

Place one square on top of another, so that the corners of the bottom square are visible. Fold these corners onto the top square.

  4. Step 4

Fold the piece so that the top right corner touches the bottom right corner. Repeat on the left side. Invert the right corner, until it is inside the piece and the edge is aligned with the center. Repeat on the left side. The piece is now a triangle.

  5. Step 5

Take one triangle and slide the pointed front right corner over the left corner of another triangle. Slide two corners of the third over the back corners of the first two triangles. Repeat until you have a gyroscope.
