Stride Ball is a gym game for kids of all ages. Separate kids into age groups to play this game to make it fair if you have enough players to do so. The following steps will show you how to play the gym game Stride Ball.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 to 9 players
  • Dodge ball
  1. Step 1

Ask players to stand in a circle with feet spread a little wider than shoulder width apart. Have them stand close enough to each other so that they are touching the feet of the players on either side of them.

  2. Step 2

Chose a player from the group to be the server. This player will stand in the center of the circle.

  3. Step 3

Place a dodge ball in the middle of the circle of players next to the server.

  4. Step 4

Tell the server in the middle of the circle to try to roll the ball between another player's legs and out of the circle. The server will continue to roll the ball until he or she can roll it out of the circle.

  5. Step 5

Instruct players in the circle to stop the ball with their hands only. They must not move out of the circle formation, move their feet or use their feet to block the ball.

  6. Step 6

Choose another player to change places with the server once the server has succeeded in rolling the ball through another player's legs and outside of the circle.

  7. Step 7

Play this game until everyone has had a chance to be the server.

Tips & Warnings
  • To pose a challenge, you can have players face the other way in the circle so that they have to look through their legs to block the ball.
