MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane,) is a compound that occurs naturally in the tissues of all animals and plants. It is also believed to be an effective treatment for joint pain. A foot cream made of MSM mixed with aloe vera gel, essential oils and menthol will not only soothe achy, tired feet, but will help to heal dry, chapped heels. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 14 oz. aloe vera gel
  • 3 oz. MSM powder
  • 3 oz. distilled water, heated
  • 1.5 oz. peanut oil, sweet almond oil or tea tree oil
  • 6 drops rosemary essential oil
  • ¼ oz. powdered camphor
  • 1/3 oz. menthol crystals
  • 3 vitamin E capsules
  • 2 Vitamin A capsules
  • 2 Vitamin D capsules
  • 12 drops bergamot
  • Sterile container

Instructions

      Pour the aloe vera gel into a glass bowl.

      Put the hot water in a separate, small bowl and add the MSM powder, stirring until the MSM is completely dissolved.

      Pour the hot water and MSM mixture into the aloe vera gel bottle and shake it so that all of the aloe vera gel on the inside of the bottle is mixed in, and pour it into the mixing bowl. Add the water and MSM mixture.

      Mix the oil, (emu, peanut, sweet almond or tea tree oil,) the camphor powder and menthol crystals in a double boiler until the camphor powder and menthol crystals are dissolved.

      Pour the mixture from the double boiler into the aloe vera mixture and use a hand blender or mixer to mix it completely. Blend in the rosemary essential oil and vitamins E, A and D.

      Pour the MSM foot cream into the sterilized container.
