How to Edit Form Properties in FrontPage

After you have created the components of your Microsoft FrontPage form, you will need to set the form properties. By setting the form properties, you will specify how the results of the form will be stored by method and then by detail of the chosen method. Follow the steps below to edit your form properties for your Microsoft FrontPage form.

Things You'll Need:

  • Microsoft FrontPage 2003
  1. Step 1

    Start Microsoft FrontPage and open the web page that contains the form that you want to set the properties.

  2. Step 2

    Select the "Insert" menu, point to "Form" and click on "Form Properties…" to open the "Form Properties" dialog box.

  3. Step 3

    Choose where you want to store the form results by clicking the "Send to" radio button, selecting a file name or email address, "Send to database" radio button or the "Send to other" radio button and specifying where you would like to send the results.

  4. Step 4

    Click the "Options…" button at the bottom of the "Form Properties" dialog box to bring up the "Saving Results" dialog box.

  5. Step 5

    Use your mouse to click on the tab in the "Saving Results" dialog box that corresponds with how you chose to store the results.

  6. Step 6

    Set the saving options that you would like to apply to the storage of results by making any changes in the "Saving Results" dialog box that you would like to see. Click the "OK" button to close the "Saving Results" dialog box. The properties that you set for your form will now be in place.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can insert a form by choosing "Form" from the "Insert" menu and then inserting the form component, followed by any other components that you would like to be included in your form.
