Try out the different brands. Even if you are planning to purchase from an online store, it is best to visit a music store where you can hear the sounds of the different brands and compare the quality of the different brands. Some of the more popular brands such as Yamaha or Roland have good quality but are very expensive. Some cheaper brands have the same kind of quality but at lower prices. Check out the size of the set as well as all of the components included with it.

Compare prices. Check the prices at the music store when you visit. Also search online to compare prices. Keep in mind the shipping charges if bought online as you may able to save more money buying directly from the store.
