Making an Easter egg garden is a great way to display dyed Easter eggs. This craft takes under an hour to create, but does need some advance planning so that you save enough toilet paper tubes. Kids can complete this project on their own.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Empty toilet paper tube
  • 2 colors of craft foam
  • Green craft foam
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Craft glue
  • Tape
  • Plastic sandwich bags
  • Dry rice or beans
  • Colored Easter eggs
  1. Step 1

Cut 2 large flowers from craft foam. Make the flowers large so that they measure approximately 7 inches in diameter.

  2. Step 2

Place a toilet paper tube in the center of the flower. Trace around the tube. Cut out the center of the circle.

  3. Step 3

Cut a strip of green craft foam that is 4-1/2inches tall. Wrap the foam around the toilet paper tube to measure the width you will need. Cut the foam to size.

  4. Step 4

Spread craft glue on one side of the craft foam. Roll the toilet paper tube up in the foam. Hold the edges together with tape until the glue is dry.

  5. Step 5

Slide the top of the stem through the center of 2 foam holes. Place the flowers so that the petals are offset.

  6. Step 6

Fill a small plastic sack with rice or beans. Put the sack inside the toilet paper tube to give the flower support.

  7. Step 7

Place a dyed Easter egg in the center of each flower.

Tips & Warnings
  • Cut paper towel tubes into 3 sections, and use them for the stems. Vary the heights for variety.
  • Cut leaves out of the green craft foam, and glue them to the stem.
