These little hoppers are great for little ones who want to show their holiday enthusiasm. Shoelace bunnies easily attach to kids shoes. This inexpensive craft takes less than an hour to create. Small children will need help from an older sibling or adult.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large piece of craft foam
  • Small piece of craft foam in contrasting color
  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Scalloped scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Hot glue
  • 4 googly eyes
  • 2 small jingle bells
  • 2 regular shoe laces
  • 4 medium pom-poms
  1. Step 1

Sketch a bunny head, approximately 3 inches by 5 inches, on a piece of paper. Cut it out. Trace the head 2 times on the craft foam. Cut the bunny heads out with scalloped scissors.

  2. Step 2

Glue a set of googly eyes on each bunny face using craft or hot glue. Adults should handle the hot glue.

  3. Step 3

Cut out the inner part of the bunny ears from a different colored craft foam. Attach the inner hear with craft glue. Let the glue dry thoroughly.

  4. Step 4

Cut 2 slits in the center of each face with scissors. Slide a regular shoe lace through 1 slit. Slide a small jingle bell onto the lace and then thread it through the second slit so that both ends are in the back.

  5. Step 5

Glue 2 pom-poms just under the jingle bell nose of each bunny. Use hot glue for the best results.

  6. Step 6

Thread the laces through your child's shoe as normal. Tie a bow in the top of the shoe.

Tips & Warnings
  • Only adults should handle a hot glue gun. Use caution when placing pieces on the hot glue.
