Instructions

    • 1

Unwrap 3 green lollipops. Use lollipops that are circular and flat, not ball shaped.

    • 2

Apply craft glue or a polyurethane coating to each lollipop, using a paint brush. Poke the lollipop sticks into a piece of craft foam or a potato and allow the glue to dry.

    • 3

Lay the dry lollipops on a piece of tinfoil. Overlap the lollipop sticks so that the sides of the candy touch each other.

    • 4

Secure the shamrock lollipop with a twist tie.

    • 5

Cut a 6-inch by 6-inch sheet of plastic film. Wrap the film over the top of the lollipops.

    • 6

Gather the edges of the plastic film around the base of the shamrock. Tie a green ribbon around the plastic to secure it in place.

    • 7

Use strong tape to secure the safety pin to the back of the shamrock pin. Use extra pieces of tape to make sure the pin is tightly in place.

Tips & Warnings

  • Skip Step 2 to make an edible shamrock pin.

  • Use duct tape for securing the safety pin. Cut it into strips small enough to fit inside the width of the pin.

  • Do not eat lollipops that have been coated with glue or polyurethane.
