How to Make a Shamrock Pin
Celebrating St. Patrick's Day in a proper manner means wearing some form of green clothing. Make a shamrock pin from lollipops cute enough to wear and yummy enough to eat. A shamrock pin may not guarantee you the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick's Day, but it can grant you a pinch-free day. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 3 green lollipops
- Twist tie
- Craft glue or polyurethane coating
- Craft foam or potato
- Paint brush
- Plastic film
- Green ribbon
- Large safety pin
- Strong tape

Unwrap 3 green lollipops. Use lollipops that are circular and flat, not ball shaped.

Apply craft glue or a polyurethane coating to each lollipop, using a paint brush. Poke the lollipop sticks into a piece of craft foam or a potato and allow the glue to dry.

Lay the dry lollipops on a piece of tinfoil. Overlap the lollipop sticks so that the sides of the candy touch each other.

Secure the shamrock lollipop with a twist tie.

Cut a 6-inch by 6-inch sheet of plastic film. Wrap the film over the top of the lollipops.

Gather the edges of the plastic film around the base of the shamrock. Tie a green ribbon around the plastic to secure it in place.

Use strong tape to secure the safety pin to the back of the shamrock pin. Use extra pieces of tape to make sure the pin is tightly in place.

Use duct tape for securing the safety pin. Cut it into strips small enough to fit inside the width of the pin.
Do not eat lollipops that have been coated with glue or polyurethane.
