How to Make a Toilet Paper Tube Leprechaun
Having a leprechaun around the house may just increase your luck on St. Patrick's Day. Make a whimsical leprechaun with an empty toilet paper tube and other simple craft supplies. This craft is easy enough for most children to complete with a little guidance. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Clean, empty toilet paper tube
- Green craft foam
- Peach craft paint
- Green craft paint
- Fine point permanent marker
- 4 brown pipe cleaners
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- Pink craft paint

Place the toilet paper tube upright on a piece of green craft foam. Trace around the tube to make a small circle.

Draw a circle around the traced circle that is 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Cut both circles out and set them aside.

Use cream paint to paint a half oval face on the front of the tube, one inch from the top. Paint small circles for hands just below the face.

Paint a strip of brown paint behind the face for hair. Dab red on the face for rosy cheeks. Paint the rest of the tube green.

Draw facial and clothing details on the tube once the paint has dried.

Coil 3 brown pipe cleaners around a pencil. Glue 2 pipe cleaners around the back of the tube for the leprechaun's hair and one on the face for the beard. Fold the last pipe cleaner in half. Coil the ends for feet, and glue it to the inside of the tube.

Cut a 5-1/2 inch by 1/2-inch piece of craft foam for the arms and hat brim. Glue the hat top and brim to the strip of foam. Glue the arms to the tube.
