Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Trim 2 photos of your child to 1 by 1.5 inches. Check the size against the hardware before proceeding to the following steps.

  2. Step 2

Affix the photo to the locket using double-sided tape or a hot glue gun. Have an adult handle the hot glue.

  3. Step 3

Decorate the outside of the locket with a miniature piece of your child's artwork. Have an adult glue buttons, gems and other embellishments to the outside of the locket with hot glue.

  4. Step 4

Slide the wire through the top of a 1 inch by 1.5-inch hinge. Make a loop with the wire. Tightly wrap the end of the wire around the base near the hinge.

  5. Step 5

Slide the locket onto an 18-inch length of ball chain. Snap each end of the ball chain into a fastener to form the necklace.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use 4 of your favorite pictures, and adhere one to each surface of the hinge instead of using embellishments.
  • Make a locket for each child and slide them all on the ball chain.
  • Adults only should use a hot glue gun.
