-
2
Make a stencil by tracing a small cookie cutter on to a piece of paper. Cut the heart out.

3
Trace the stencil onto the felt using a fabric pen. Cut out enough hearts to cover each button on your child's shirt.
-
4
Glue googly eyes and miniature pom-poms to make faces on some of the hearts. Decorate others with ribbons, sequins, glitter and other embellishments. Set the hearts aside and let the glue dry thoroughly.
-
5
Cut a small slit in the center of each heart, large enough to slip on the shirt buttons. Slide each button cover onto a button after your child's shirt is on and fully buttoned.

Tips & Warnings
Draw a heart that is approximately 2-inches wide and 1-inch high if you do not have a miniature heart cookie cutter.
Remove button covers before washing. The felt dye may bleed onto clothing, and the embellishments will come off in the wash.
