A Valentine note tote is a simple craft that is made from common supplies. Valentine note totes take under an hour for most crafters to create. They are the perfect place to store treasured Valentines and great for toting Valentines to school.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 flimsy paper plates
  • Stapler
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon
  • Craft glue
  • Craft foam
  • Embellishments
  1. Step 1

Fold the paper plates in half. Fold them so that the curve of the plate faces outwards.

  2. Step 2

Slide one plate inside the other so that the two of them form a heart shape. Use a stapler to staple the plates together.

  3. Step 3

Use scissors to round the upper edge of the heart to look more like a heart. Draw a heart shape with a pencil for young children to cut on.

  4. Step 4

Use a hole punch to make holes in the V or the front and the back of the heart. String a ribbon through the holes and tie a knot on each end to secure the handle.

  5. Step 5

Have children embellish the tote with markers, craft foam, ribbons and other embellishments. Secure the embellishments to the heart with craft glue. Set the tote aside until all the glue is dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use craft glue to secure the plates together if you do not have a stapler.
  • Use glitter glue to write your child's name on the tote.
