Ideally, after you create your eBay auction listing you just sit back and wait for the bids to come in. But errors happen. Fortunately, you can correct most details of a listing if no one has placed a bid on the auction yet. Once someone has bid, you are more limited in your options, so it's important to check your listing as soon as possible after submitting it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know what you can change. If your item has not received bids and does not end within the next 12 hours you can change the title, description, category, minimum price, buy it now price, reserve price, pictures and payment methods. You can also change the number of days the listing will be on eBay, but if your listing is more than two hours old, you cannot extend the number of days your listing will be on eBay.

  2. Step 2

Sign in to your eBay account. Go to your "My eBay" page and navigate to the auction listing you want to change.

  3. Step 3

Click on the "Revise" button from the auction listing page. You will be taken to the same form you used to fill out your listing.

  4. Step 4

Scroll through the form and find the areas where you want to make the changes. Make the change and then click on the "Verify" button at end of the form. A list of the changes you made will be displayed.

  5. Step 5

Look over the list of changes. If you need to make additional changes, hit the "Back" button on your browser to get back to the listing form. If you are satisfied with your changes, click the "Submit Revisions" button. The newly updated auction listing will be displayed.
