Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Identify your goals. Assess your business' profit margin. Distinguish the practices that drive the profits and implement goals to maximize them. Use problem solving skills to address customers service issues, employee retention and research ways to create more sales opportunities.
Step2
Investigate the tactics that other people have used in the same profession. Network with others in the industry and attend trade shows or conferences. Join networking group to learn different approaches and make new connections.
Step3
Pay attention to body language and tone of voice. Adopt a more assertive, exuberant way of talking about the product or service you're selling. Practice being firm in both attitude and stance to project confidence and enthusiam. Alter the presentation of your spiel, next move to content, if applicable.
Step4
Take calculated risks. Make bold promises and deliver on them. Go after new clients that would otherwise be considered out of your league. Say yes to impossible deadlines, quantities or goals and then figure out a way to meet them. Give the impression that you're brave, even a little crazy, but reliable.
Step5
Be flexible to stay ahead of the curve with your approach. Constantly reevaluate what works and what doesn't and test new strategies. Remain aware of changing trends and practices.
