How to Benefit From Superfruits

Forget the expression, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." The newest research suggest pomegranates--along with grapes, berries and some exotic produce including acai and noni--will keep you healthiest. These fruits, dubbed "superfruits" by health experts, contain disease-fighting antioxidants. Here's how to use superfruits in your diet.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Bring on the berries. You can stick with basics like strawberries, blueberries, cranberries and raspberries, or you can get creative and throw in some wolfberry and chokeberry. Many prepared fruit beverages have blends of conventional and exotic berry superfruits.
Step2
Go for grapes. Whether you want to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day or munch on some cold, refreshing grapes with your cheese, you can feel confident that you're consuming a superfruit.
Step3
Pick pomegranates rather than apples. Historians have argued that Eve tempted Adam with a pomegranate rather than an apple--and if you've ever had this lush, tart fruit you can understand the appeal. Pomegranate is available in juice form under the label Pom Wonderful.
Step4
Throw some exotic superfruit into your blender for optimal results. Choose mangosteen, acai, noni and guarana--all considered to be disease-fighting fruits high in antioxidants and other nutrients.
