How to Make Locker Accessories

Making your own personalized locker accessories is one way to add personality to your school locker. Locker accessories are not only decorative but also useful. With a little time and patience, anyone can have an outstanding locker to be proud of.

Things You'll Need

• Magnets with self-adhesive backs
• Clothespins
• Glue
• 1 large key chain or decorative beads
• 1 clipboard
• Paint and paintbrush
• String or yarn
• Ink pen
• Feathers

Instructions

1. Print pictures of you and your friends or gather small pictures of your favorite actors or artists. Remove the paper cover from the back of the magnets. Place two small magnets on each photo or poster--one at the top and one at the bottom. These hold your poster or photos in place in your locker.

2. Add a magnet to the back of a clothespin. Glue the decorative part of the key chain or beads to decorate it. Hang these inside the locker to hold small items you might need.

3. Paint the clipboard in a way that expresses your personality. Another idea is to decoupage the clipboard with photos or sayings. Arrange the photos or text on the clipboard and then paint over it with glue. When it dries, attach two magnets to the back of the clipboard to hold it to your locker.

4. Wrap the string around the ink pen tightly. If you want, completely cover the ink pen with the string. Apply glue to the string to hold it in place. Glue feathers onto the end of the pen to make it decorative. Tie another piece of string around the pen below the feathers. Attach the other end of the string to the clipboard.
