How to Buy Heel Protectors for High Heels
Whether you wear high heels every day or simply for special occasions, heel protectors can extend the life of your favorite shoes and make walking far more comfortable. Heel protectors also help you maintain traction on slippery surfaces. Here's how to find them.

1
Find a retailer. Some shoe stores offer heel protector options, and the Internet has many sites that offer plenty of different design options to meet your needs.
-
2
Buy the right color. A black heel protector on a white shoe can stick out like a sore thumb. You may even consider purchasing multiple colors to go with multiple pairs of high heels.

-
3
Ask for opinions or read reviews before you buy. If you are using heel protectors for the first time, be sure to read the reviews of the product you are about to buy. Steer clear of models that break easily or don't seem to work for many women.
-
4
Look for the correct type of heel protector for your type of heel. If you are wearing black stilettos, the heel protector that goes with your black low heels may not fit onto a thinner heel. Find adjustable models that clip on easily and fit on different widths of heels.
-
5
Decide if you need protectors or caps. If you are wearing a shoe with a stainless steel heel or another material that is equally damaging to flooring, opt for a cap to put on the end of the heel instead of a heel protector. This will not only help grip the surface you're walking on but also protect the flooring from scuffs and scratching.

Ive tried just about every high heel protector, and I agree with stilettogirl, IdealHeel is be the best- it protects the entire heel from top to bottom and it slips on and off easily!
