Step 1
Read about the different superfoods to learn the benefits of each. There are several different superfoods lists but they all overlap, sharing many of the same items. Look for a list on WebMD and Wild Oats (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Make a list of the superfoods you like and post it on your refridgerator or near your desk as a reminder. Bring the superfoods list with you to the grocery store and stock up on the best.
-
Step 3
Try to incorpoarte at least one of the superfoods into each meal or snack. Have a handful of blueberries at breakfast, eat egg salad at lunch, and drizzle extra virgin first cold press olive oil over your dinner salad.
-
Step 4
Have a contest with your family members to see who can create the most superfoods-dense menu. Include several of your favorite superfoods in each dish to be competititve.
-
Step 5
Make superfoods snacks to take to work or school and have on hand for between meals. Dried apricots, whole oatmeal granola and a banana all qualify.
-
Step 6
When eating out, choose dishes with one or more superfoods--such as a garden salad with broccoli and spinach.
