Things You'll Need:
- 1 yard of canvas
- Fabric glue or sewing machine with a canvas or denim sewing needle
- Wrenches
-
Step 1
Lay the fabric flat on a table or flat surface.
-
Step 2
Find the largest wrench in your set. Place the wrench 2 inches from the end of the side of the canvas. The bottom of the wrench needs to be 2 inches from the bottom of the canvas. Mark the top edge of the wrench on the fabric and mark the side of the wrench on the fabric with a pen or fabric marker.
-
Step 3
Trim the width of the fabric so the largest wrench is one inch from the top. Fold over the top edge of the just-cut fabric 1/2 inch. Apply fabric glue or sew a hem across the fabric.
-
Step 4
Lay the wrenches across the fabric 1 1/2 inches away from each other. Leave 2 inches of fabric after the last wrench and trim any excess fabric. Fold the side edges over 1/2 inch and apply fabric glue or sew a hem with a sewing machine.
-
Step 5
Fold the bottom half over the wrenches. Sew the sides all the way down to the hem.
-
Step 6
Sew or glue pockets onto the fabric. To do this, mark a line in between each wrench and along the sides of the wrenches. Remove the wrenches and glue or sew along the lines to create small pockets for each wrench.
-
Step 7
Cut a piece of excess canvas 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide. Hem both edges of this piece of fabric. Sew one end of the strip to the middle of one side of the wrench kit.
-
Step 8
Place the wrenches into the pockets. Roll up the fabric starting with the side that doesn't have the tie attached. Secure the tie around the middle of the rolled up wrench kit.
