Things You'll Need:

  • Selection of French cheese
  • Baguette
  • Escargot
  • Filet mignon
  • Rosemary potatoes
  • Julienne vegetables
  • French wine
  • Creme brulee
  1. Step 1

Begin a French dinner with an assortment of quality French cheese (fromage). Accompany the cheese course with a crusty French baguette.

  2. Step 2

Serve your guests the most well known of French appetizers, escargot.

  3. Step 3

Serve filet mignon as a main entrée. Wrap individual beef tenderloins with bacon and roast for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Check with a meat thermometer. Medium rare (the best way to serve filet mignon) is between 120-125 degrees. Top with a creamy Bernaise sauce.

  4. Step 4

Accompany the filet mignon with rosemary roasted red potatoes and julienne vegetables, blanched.

  5. Step 5

Serve a good quality French wine with dinner. A rich red wine from Burgundy or a crisp white from the Loire Valley are good choices.

  6. Step 6

Finish a French dinner with a classic French dessert, creme brulee. A custard made from egg yolks, heavy cream and sugar, this is one decadent dessert that is easy to make.

Tips & Warnings
