How to Make Cinnamon Toothpicks

Cinnamon toothpicks have a great taste to them and are fun to chew on. For people trying to kick the smoking habit, these would be a great thing to make. They do not add any calories to your diet and they will satisfy the oral fixation craving that you need to quiet in order to quit smoking. They are easy to make and relatively inexpensive, so you could have a large quantity of them on hand. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Toothpicks
  • Small containers
  • Flavored cooking oils ~ such as orange or peppermint
  • A large jar with a lid
  • Colorful stickers

Instructions

      Place as many toothpicks as you desire into the large jar you have chosen to use.

      Add several drops of the cooking oil to the jar and place the lid on the jar. Be sure that the lid is sealed tightly.

      Distribute the oil in the jar by shaking the jar like crazy. Before you begin to shake the jar again be sure that the lid is sealed tight.

      Put the jar in a safe place and let it sit overnight so that the oils seep into the toothpicks.

      Take the toothpicks out of the jar and put several into the small containers to store them.

      Use the stickers you have chosen to label the containers with the date of when you made the cinnamon sticks.

  • Cinnamon toothpicks are not for children so be sure to store them in a place where they are out of reach of young hands.
