Begin with breathing exercises or Pranayam. Pranayam is deliberate breathing. You breathe in without pause, stop a few seconds, and breathe out and pause a few seconds. Do six to nine minutes of this breathing to quiet and relax your body twice a day. The focus and relaxation quiets the mind and aids sexual completeness.

    • 2

Meditate by focusing your mind on each breath in and each hold of your breath. Focus the mind as you exhale and hold. Clear your mind of any problems and internal chatter. Ten minutes of meditation twice a day can help to relax your mind and train it to focus on the task at hand. Sex is a mental activity.

Try a cobra pose for one minute. Lay on your abdomen and rest your head on your arms. Move the hands and arms so that the hands are beside your chest, flat on the mat and pointing forward. Lift your upper body with your hands, arching your back, stretch your arms straight, hold, and lower yourself back down. Increased circulation and improved breathing patterns revitalize your body.

Practice the anal lift. Lie on the back with the feet on the floor with knees bent, or stand. Inhale, pause, and as you begin to exhale, contract the genital and anal region. Pull it in tightly, pause, and release as you exhale. Do this five times twice a day. Practice the same movement, only focus the contractions on the abdomen. Do this also 5 times. This increases blood flow and strengthens muscles in the genital and rectal area.

Focus on the wind releasing pose. Lie flat on the back and inhale as you bend the right knee. Pull the knee close with interlocked fingers so the thigh touches the chest. Inhale and hold, then slowly exhale and lift the back touching the head to the forehead as you exhale. Hold and begin to inhale as you return your head to the floor. Let the knee go down and lie flat. Begin the same process with the left leg. Do this 5 times.

    • 6

Perform the sun salute. As you are inhaling, raise the arms straight in the air with palms facing. Exhale while bending over to touch the feet. Drop down to the knees and put the right foot to the far rear with the palms of the hands flat on the floor. Move the other foot out so you are in push up position. Lower the knees and move to cobra position, exhale. Put the hands and feet flat on the floor, lift the buttocks and stand.

Alternate the above with a shoulder stand, horse gesture, plough pose and thunderbolt attitude. Practice twice a day. All of these will quiet the mind and relax the spirit. All of the exercises improve the blood flow, ability to relax and focus, and strengthen the genital area.
