Sex, as great as it is, can sometimes grow routine and need a change of pace. One remedy is to try new sexual positions. Sexual experimentation can be very healthy and invigorating for your sex life. A great sexual position to try is the leapfrog position.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Have the receiver kneel down on the bed or elsewhere. Put the knees together and use the hands or elbows for support. The receiver can also lay face down and use a pillow under the pelvic region to allow the deepest penetration.

  2. Step 2

Position the other partner directly behind the receiver. Make sure the receiver is in a comfortable stance before attempting penetration.

  3. Step 3

Penetrate the kneeling partner slowly at first and then vary the thrust depending on personal preference.

  4. Step 4

Understand that this position is different from the doggie style position because of the angle of penetration. It is not a directly horizontal penetration but uses a downward angle.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try the position with the penetrator's legs both inside the partner's legs and outside. This creates stimulation for different parts of the anatomy.
  • Have the receiver rotate the hips when having sex in the leapfrog position. This gives the position some added sexual sensation.
  • Use caution when having sex face down in this position because it can restrict breathing and be a hazard.
  • When engaging in any new sexual position it is always recommended to contact a physician if there are any health concerns.
  • Some people can experience discomfort from this sexual position so it is important to be in good physical condition before trying the position.
