How to Unlock Top Performing Cars in NASCAR 08

In order to compete in all of the races in the Chase in NASCAR 08, you need to unlock cars. Unlocking cars will challenge you to perform in many different mini-games and races, so you will be fine-tuning your skills as you get new cars.

Instructions

1. Complete your contracts. The way you unlock cars in the Chase mode is by completing contracts. You can unlock cars for each of the 6 race types: super speedway and speedway with standard stock cars, and short track, road course, super speedway and speedway in the car of tomorrow. You have to earn licenses before you can compete for contracts, and you must complete all of the contract tasks before you get the car.

2. Earn gold medals in the licenses. Earning licenses is necessary to compete for contracts, but you can get more out of the licenses if you go for the gold. You will get special attribute boosts to the cars you earn in your garage by getting a gold medal in all of the challenges in one license. It may take some time to master all of the mini-games, but it is worth it for the bonus to your cars.

3. Practice with and tune your cars. Even after you unlock new cars, you still have to tweak them to fit you and how you drive. Use the Practice Mode to practice with each of your cars on their specific tracks. You can pause while you are practicing and go to the car setup screen to tune your car. Consider changing things like the handling, suspension, aerodynamics and your tires.

4. Create your own vehicles. You can make your own cars to use in the different game modes. You can create up to 16 cars, 4 for each racing series. Pick out your number, sponsor, design, decals and more. You can then practice with these cars and tune them to fit your needs.

Tips & Warnings

• If you want to unlock all of the Chase cars, you can enter a cheat. Go to the cheat menu and enter "checkered flag" to open all of the cars.
