1
Begin your franchise by selecting the number of users and selecting a team for each user. The goal is to maintain a successful franchise for 30 years.
-
2
Set up your franchise in the Franchise Menu, which keeps you informed of everything that is happening with the league and your team. You can also make roster moves, review schedules, set up coaching schemes and adjust your depth chart.

-
3
Finalize your roster during preseason. This is where you test your rookies and seasoned veterans, with the more experienced players playing in the first half of games and the new players playing during the second half.
-
4
Make trades before the sixth week of the season. You can also sign free agents and make other roster changes during the regular season and participate in postseason play, even if your team doesn't make the playoffs.
-
5
Set our franchise options to CPU. This simulates any steps in setting up your team during the off-season. If you don't do this, make sure you have completed all of the steps to set up your franchise, or you can't compete in a new season.
-
6
Take charge of your team's finances, staff, stadium and scouting in the new Front Office mode, which is only available to franchise owners.
